EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Faith Arthur is a Title I educator and founder of B.Y. Funding. Inspired by her work in schools, she created the organization to help students, families, and educators access the resources they need to thrive.

Faith Arthur’s Experience

Ariel Badal

Board of Directors

Ariel Badal is a member of the Board of Directors at BY FUNDING, where she brings thoughtful leadership, strong communication skills, and a deep commitment to community-centered work. Having attended Title I schools in New York City throughout her life, Ariel brings a personal understanding of how educational systems shape opportunity and why equitable support for schools matters.

She completed the Coro New York Youth Leadership Academy, where she strengthened her understanding of how schools function and how leadership, collaboration, and civic engagement can drive change. Ariel also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from SUNY Albany, building a strong foundation in business, strategy, and communication.

At BY FUNDING, Ariel is known for helping teams think clearly, stay grounded in mission, and make decisions that reflect both organizational values and community needs. Her thoughtful perspective, collaborative approach, and interest in branding and long-term strategy make her a valuable member of the board.

Brittany Murray

Board of Directors

Brittany Murray is an Instructional Coach and literacy leader based in Washington, DC, with over a decade of experience in education. She specializes in strengthening Tier 1 instruction, advancing literacy outcomes, and supporting data-driven practices in Title I schools. 

As a doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction, Brittany is committed to expanding equitable access to high-quality literacy instruction and closing opportunity gaps for underserved students. Her work focuses on building teacher capacity, improving student outcomes, and fostering meaningful family and community engagement.

Brittany is passionate about leveraging research, resources, and partnerships to support schools in achieving sustainable success. Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and watching documentaries and true crime series.
